Barclays Premier League - Portsmouth appointed Adam

Adams has been appointed new Manager for Portsmouth.

The former Arsenal captain signed a two-and-a-half year contract until the end of the 2010/11 season.

Adam said "It's a great opportunity and one I'd be mad to turn down. I'm very excited, I can't wait to get going.

"I've been here for two-and-a-half years so it was business as usual this morning, except Harry's charm and fun was gone

"I've got some great players at Portsmouth and I have been kind of responsible as well for helping Harry to bring them to the club.

"I was at home thinking, 'I don't want anyone else to get this job'."

he further added that "We've got some very good players here at the club so I'm delighted that other clubs want them. But it's my job to keep them here."

Adams also had word with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger before accepting his first Premier League management job.

"I spoke to Arsene last night for some advice, and he said, 'Welcome to hell!'"

Hull City clean sweep the West Bromwich 3-0. With this win Hull city move in to Third place of the table.

Barclays Premier League - Sunderland beat Newcastle 2-1

In another match at Sunderland beat Newcastle 2-1.

With this win Sunderland move in to the ninth position while Newcastle remained second last bottom of the table.

Richardson fired a stunning kick and the difference - with a superbly taken free-kick from the edge of the penalty area.


Barclays Premier League - Match Draw 1-1 between Manchester United Vs Everton

Everton Fight back at the last minute save the match a goal to secure a 1-1 draw against Manchester united at Goodison park.

Barclays Premier League - Liverpool defeat Wigan Athletic 3-2

The Match Between Liverpool and Wigan at Anfield was packed. It was tight finish, Dirk Kuyt scored two goals as Liverpool won the match 3-2.

Wigan were leading the match 2-1, Zaki proved he does not need Emile Heskey to get the best out of him. Zaki looked comfortable playing as a lone striker with Daniel De Ridder behind him.

As the Match progressed Dirk Kuyt scored twice as liverpool came from behind to snatch 3-2 victory over Wigan.

Liverpool will face the Mighty Chelsea on 26th October. It will a really Tough match. Just watch out.

Barclays Premier League - Arsenal Beat Everton 3-1

Arsenal came from behind to beat Everton at the Emirate Stadium.

Superb perfomance by Samir Nasri, Theo walcot and Robin Van Persie took the match from Everton.

Everton was in lead but the Arsenal came from behind to defeat Everton.

Osman came close to a second goal when his 20-yard shot was deflected
just past the post by debutant Mikael Silvestre and Joleon Lescott saw a header chested off the line by Gael Clichy.

Over all it was good display by the Arsenal

Barclays Premier League - Manchester united beat West Bromwich 4-0

With this win Manchester united move into the Top 4 position.

Wayne Rooney was the behind for United's win, Rooney as his fine and recent form by scoring the first and creating two further goals for Cristiano Ronaldo and substitute Nani.

Rooney & Ronaldo was forced a little too wide and his shot was well blocked. As the first half drew to a conclusion, United had a penalty shout turned down by Halsey when the ball accidentally struck Paul Robinson on the arm in the box.

West Brom rarely made it out of their own half and Edwin van der Sar in the United goal had little to do all evening long until he was finally tested by substitute - and former Manchester City player - Ishmael Miller as time ran out.

By this superb performance by Manchester United the message have been clear send out to other Premier League title rivals champions.

Barclays Premier League - Tony Jimenez Resigned Newcastle

Newcastle United have announced that vice-president Tony Jimenez has resigned from the club. The 43year old handed his resignation in order to pursue "other interests".

Mean while Newcastle United thanks Tony for all his hard work and efforts and wishes him every success in the future.

Jimenez was appointed in January to the newly-created role of vice-president.

Newcastle are currently third from bottom in the Premier League with 5 points.

Barclays Premier League - Manchester United Beat Blackburn Rovers 2 -0

Manchester United Victory is in succession in the Premier League and sees them climb up to sixth position.

Brown opened the scoring with a first-half header, third goal of the season on the hour to seal the win. Darren Fletcher had an good opportunity open the scoring in 20 minutes after he was played in by Dimitar Berbatov, but can't take chance.

United finally earned reward for their domination of the second-half possession with a second
goal. Manchester United had the luxury of withdrawing Rooney in the final stages as the pitch became heavy and saturated due to the incessant rain.


Barclays Premier League - Arsenal a 1-1 draw with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Aresnal Vs Sunderland was an interesting match but unfortunately it ended in a Draw 1-1 each. he Game saw six yellow cards only exploded in the final stages with Fabregas' first goal of the season saving his team from a second League defeat in a week.

Substitute player Grant Leadbitter's made a stunning 86th minute Goal that had given the hosts a lead. Just four minutes later Leadbitter sent the home crowd into raptures with a superb goal,

The Match highlight was Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon made a superb save from Van Persie. Or the Match would have been a different story.

The other highlight was the controversially disallowed goal on 56 minutes,
Arsenal continued to press and Emmanuel Adebayor's volley was fumbled by Gordon only for Anton Ferdinand to clear before Kieran Richardson stung Almunia's palms with a 30-yard drive.

Paul Scholes midfileder for Manchester united will be out of the tournmnet for 10weeks. Scholes was injured in tuesday's Champions League match away to Aalborg following a tackle by Thomas Augustinussen.

Paul scholes out of action will be a set back for Manchester united, as two of great player outof action Owen Hargreaves & Michael Carrick.
Scholes is expected to be out for atleast 15 matches due to knee injury.
